Dose-Response Relationship Between Physical Activity and the Incidence of Peripheral Artery Disease in General Population: Insights From the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 1999-2004
Adopting a physically active lifestyle may help an individual to keep peripheral artery disease at bay.
This study was carried out to affirm the protective effect of physical activity against peripheral artery disease (PAD). Researchers estimated the risk of peripheral artery disease among 1,370 US men and women based on their level of physical activity.
Researchers noted that the more physically active participants are, the brighter their chances of preventing peripheral artery disease. This study pointed out that engaging in regular exercise may help guard against the occurrence of peripheral artery disease.
