Dietary flavonoid intake and risk of stroke: a dose-response meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies.
Adequate intake of diets rich in flavonoids may help guard against the occurrence of stroke.
This research work examined the relationship between the dietary ingestion of flavonoids and the incidence of stroke. Researchers reviewed data and evidence obtained from 11 cohort studies. They observed that regular consumption of diets high in flavonoids decreased the risk of stroke. The findings of this meta-analysis show that generous intake of flavoniod-rich foods may contribute positively to the prevention of stroke.
