Nut Consumption and risk of stroke.
Stroke is less likely to occur in individuals who regularly consume large amounts of nuts.
This study investigated the correlation between nut intake and stroke risk by meta-analysis. Nine studies that examined 476,181 subjects were included in this meta-analysis. Researchers found a low incidence of stroke and deaths related to stroke among high consumers of nuts. The results of this study support the hypothesis that high intake of nuts is associated with decreased risk of stroke morbidity and mortality.
