Alcohol Drinking and Upper Aerodigestive Tract Cancer Mortality: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
The odds of dying from cancer of upper aerodigestive tract may be stacked against light, moderate, and heavy consumers of alcohol.
This study examined the correlation between alcohol intake and the likelihood of dying from cancer of the upper aerodigestive tract (UADT) using a meta-analytic approach. Researchers sifted through data obtained from 10 studies.
The research team found high rate of deaths from upper aerodigestive tract cancer among light, moderate, and heavy drinkers of alcohol. This study reveals that alcohol consumers are highly liable to suffer from deaths resulting from cancers affecting the upper aerodigestive tract.
