Dietary inflammatory index and the risk of prostate cancer: a dose-response meta-analysis

Following a pro-inflammatory diet may pave way for the development of prostate cancer in men.

This study seeks to clarify the relationship between adhering to a pro-inflammatory diet and a man's propensity to receive a diagnosis of prostate cancer. Researchers performed a meta-analysis on data drawn out from 10 studies.

Data analysis revealed that the risk of acquiring prostate cancer climbed up with increase in the level of consumption of pro-inflammatory foods. This study pointed out that choosing a pro-inflammatory diet may make a man more likely to develop prostate cancer.
