Breast cancer risk and alcohol consumption: results from a large case-control study.
Regular drinking of alcoholic beverages may heighten a woman's risk of having breast cancer.
This study explored the relationship between alcohol consumption and the likelihood of developing breast cancer in women. Researchers evaluated data and evidence obtained from a case-control study that examined more than 1,200 premenopausal and postmenopausal women.
Researchers found out that alcohol consumption boosted breast cancer risk in both premenopausal and postmenopausal women. The results of this study suggest that women who drink alcohol may be highly vulnerable to breast cancer.
