Dairy intake and acne development: A meta-analysis of observational studies

Frequent ingestion of dairy products, such as whole and skim milk, may heighten an individual's chances of having acne.

This study investigated the link between dairy food consumption and the occurrence of acne by means of a meta-analysis. Researchers reviewed data extracted from a pool of relevant studies.

The team of researchers observed that lovers of dairy products, including skim and whole milk, had increased tendency to suffer from acne. This study provides evidence that habitual intake of dairy products may foster the development of acne.
