Recreational physical activity and risk of head and neck cancer: a pooled analysis within the international head and neck cancer epidemiology (INHANCE) Consortium
Engaging in recreational physical activity may help cut down head and neck cancer risk in men and women.
This study clarified the association between maintaining a physically active lifestyle and an individual's probability of developing cancer in the head and neck region. Researchers drew on data from 4 studies involving 2,289 patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer and 5,580 individuals without this cancer.
Researchers discovered that partaking in physical activity for recreational purpose diminished the risk of having different types of head and neck cancer, including oral and pharyngeal cancer. This study pointed out that participating in recreational physical activity may help hinder the development of cancer in the head and neck region.
