Vegan Regimen With Reduced Medication in the Treatment of Bronchial Asthma
Going vegan may help improve symptoms of asthma.
This study evaluated the role of vegan diet in the treatment of asthma. Researchers fed 24 patients battling with bronchial asthma for about 12 years and on medications for a long time with vegan diet for one year.
Researchers noticed that asthmatic symptoms were alleviated in 71% and 92% of the patients within 4 months and one year respectively of switching to a vegan diet. This study recommends that vegan diet may be beneficial in the treatment of patients with bronchial asthma.
