Alcohol consumption as a risk factor for atrial fibrillation: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
The odds of developing atrial fibrillation may be high among alcohol consumers.
This study investigated the hypothesis that alcohol consumption can increase the risk of atrial fibrillation. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data obtained from eligible studies.
Data analysis revealed that alcohol consumers had high probability of developing atrial fibrillation. This study suggests that high risk of atrial fibrillation is associated with alcohol drinking.
