Association between the Inflammatory Potential of Diet and Stress among Female College Students
Adopting a pro-inflammatory diet may increase the stress burden in young women.
This research work focused on how the inflammatory properties of a diet affect stress levels in young women. Researchers studied the eating patterns of 401 female students from Saudi Arabia whose stress burden were assessed with a perceived stress scale.
Consumers of pro-inflammatory diets reported high levels of stress in this study. Based on data from this study, it can safely be concluded that a pro-inflammatory diet may worsen the stress burden of young women.
