Alcoholic Beverage Consumption in Relation to Risk of Breast Cancer: Meta-Analysis and Review
A surge in breast cancer risk is associated with habitual consumption of alcohol.
This meta-analysis examined whether likeness for alcohol can increase the risk of breast cancer in women. Researchers compiled and evaluated data obtained from 38 studies.
Data analysis revealed an 11% increase in breast cancer risk in women who consumed 1 alcoholic drink per day compared to those who completely avoided alcohol. This study points out that regular drinking of alcohol can lead to a spike in breast cancer risk.
