Eating Animal Products, a Common Cause of Human Diseases
Diets that encourage the consumption of animal-based foods may be one of the major factors responsible for the rising incidence of chronic diseases globally.
This study investigated the hypothesis attributing a large number of cases of chronic diseases to the consumption of animal-based foods. Researchers utilized nutritional and health records obtained from relevant scientific publications.
Researchers noted that high ingestion of animal-based foods correlated with increasing prevalence of chronic diseases. On the other hand, promoting the intake of plant-based foods was found to reduce the burden of chronic diseases significantly. This study recommended a shift from animal-based foods to plant-centered diets to help cut down the incidence of chronic diseases globally.
