Cannabis-associated Arterial Disease
Cannabis users may have a high tendency to suffer from stroke, heart attack, and arteritis of the limbs.
This study examined the relationship between the use of cannabis and the risk of developing arterial diseases, such as stroke, myocardial infarction (heart attack), and limb arteritis. Researchers analyzed the results of eligible studies that investigated this association.
Researchers observed that the odds of suffering from stroke, heart attack, and limb arteritis were high among users of cannabis. According to this study, the risk of experiencing a heart attack was found to increase dramatically within an hour of smoking marijuana. The results of this study show that cannabis users may be highly vulnerable to having stroke, heart attack, and arteritis of the limbs.
