Prevention of Atherosclerosis by Berries: The Case of Blueberries

Adequate intake of blueberries may confer an individual with significant protection against atherosclerosis.

This research work was carried out to confirm the protective effect of blueberries against atherosclerosis. Researchers studied data culled from eligible human and animal studies. 

Researchers discovered that consistent consumption of blueberries significantly diminished the risk of developing atherosclerosis. This study is one of the many studies that have offered strong evidence supporting the preventive effect of blueberries against atherosclerosis.
