Fruit and vegetables, and cardiovascular disease: a review.

​Regular intake of fruits and vegetables may help improve an individual's chances of avoiding stroke, coronary heart disease, and cardiovascular ailments.

This study explored the relationship between habitual consumption of fruits and vegetables and the risk of developing cardiovascular disease using a meta-analytic approach. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data and evidence obtained from relevant studies on the subject.

Researchers observed reduced risk of stroke, coronary heart disease, and cardiovascular disease in regular consumers of fruits and vegetables compared to individuals who rarely ate fruits and vegetables. The results of this study suggest that adequate intake of fruits and vegetables may help guard against the development of stroke, coronary heart disease, and cardiovascular ailments.
