Plant-based diet index and erectile dysfunction in the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study

Consuming healthy plant foods may swing the odds of preventing erectile dysfunction in favor of men.

This study focused on the link between adherence to a plant-based diet and a man's likelihood of suffering from erectile dysfunction. Researchers assessed data from more than 20,000 American men aged 40-75 years who responded to questionnaires seeking information about eating habits and sex life.

Data analysis revealed that the chances of developing erectile dysfunction decreased by up to 18% among men on healthy plant-based diets. This study affirmed the notion that hopping on the plant-based diet train may make men less likely to experience erectile dysfunction.
