Causal relationship between dried fruit intake and meniscal injuries: Two-sample Mendelian randomization

Consuming little quantities or totally avoiding dried fruits may bump up an individual's risk of suffering from meniscal injuries.

The purpose of this study was to determine the risk of sustaining a meniscal injury based on the level of consumption of dried fruits. Researchers meticulously reviewed data on the dietary preferences and rates of meniscal injuries among individuals of European origin.

Researchers discovered that meniscal injuries occurred at a high frequency among participants ate the least amounts of dried fruits. The results of this study showed that low and non-consumers of dried fruits may be prone to suffering from meniscal injuries.
