Fatty foods and the risk of lung cancer: a case-control study from Uruguay

Eating fatty foods consistently may increase an individual's predisposition to lung cancer.

This study examined whether likeness for fatty foods favors the development of lung cancer. Researchers compared dietary habits with the incidence of lung cancer in a study population comprising of 754 men and women from Uruguay.

Researchers observed that avid consumption of fatty foods drove up the risk of lung cancer. The findings of this study reveal that increased intake of fatty foods may make an individual more susceptible to lung cancer.
