Whole Grain Intake Reduces Pancreatic Cancer Risk: A Meta-Analysis of Observational Studies.
Generous consumption of whole grains may help guard against the development of pancreatic cancer.
This study was carried out to ascertain how consistent consumption of whole grains influences the risk of developing pancreatic cancer. Researchers reviewed 8 studies that investigated the relationship between the intake of whole grains and the odds of suffering from pancreatic cancer.
Researchers found out that high dietary ingestion of whole grains significantly slashed the risk of developing pancreatic cancer. "A high intake of whole grains was associated with a reduced risk of pancreatic cancer," concluded the authors.
