Healthful Plant-Based Diet and Incidence of Type 2 Diabetes in Asian Population
Opting for a plant-based diet may confer an individual with adequate protection against type 2 diabetes.
This study examined the relationship between adherence to a plant-based diet and the probability of suffering from type 2 diabetes (T2D). More than 7,000 Korean adults aged 40-69 years volunteered for this study and were assessed for their dietary choices and occurrence of type 2 diabetes.
Researchers observed that followers of plant-based diets had bright chances of staying free from type 2 diabetes. The evidence from this study points towards a favorable association between the consumption of a plant-based diet and reduced risk of type 2 diabetes.
