Exploring the Impact of Flavonoids on Symptoms of Depression: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Adequate intake of flavonoids from food sources may help ward off depression.
This study examined whether habitual ingestion of flavonoid-rich foods can help guard against the onset of depressive symptoms. Researchers utilized data and evidence extracted from 46 studies.
Researchers noticed that consumers of foods high in flavoids had low risk of experiencing symptoms of depression. The results of this meta-analysis showed that consistent consumption of flavonoid-containing foods may contribute to the prevention of depression.
