Prospective association between dietary fiber intake and breast cancer risk.
Eating generous portions of fiber from vegetables regularly may help thwart the formation of cancerous cells and tumors in the breast.
This study looked at the connection between habitual intake of fiber-rich foods and the onset of breast cancer. A total of 4,684 women participated in this study and were assessed for their dietary choices and breast cancer odds ratios.
Researchers observed that consistent consumption of fiber from vegetables diminished the likelihood of acquiring breast cancer. This study concluded that high dietary ingestion of vegetable fiber may put a woman in a great position to avoid breast cancer.
