Larger vegetable intake helps patients with constipation: socioeconomic analysis from United States-based matched cohorts
Generous consumers of vegetables are less likely to experience constipation.
This study investigated the hypothesis that a high vegetable diet can help to fend off constipaton. Up to 13,832 US men and women enrolled for this study and provided information on their eating and bowel habits.
Researchers noticed that frequent eaters of vegetables had high chances of preventing constipation. This study concluded that " a larger amount of vegetable intake is associated with lower odds of constipation."
