Associations between dietary inflammatory index and incidence of breast and prostate cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Fervent consumption of pro-inflammatory foods may support the formation of cancerous cells and tumors in the breast and prostate of men and women.
This meta-analysis summarized the findings of previously published studies that focused on the relationship between the intake of pro-inflammatory foods and the probability of developing breast and prostate cancer. A total of 13 studies were deemed appropriate for inclusion in this meta-analysis.
A significant jump in the risk of prostate and breast cancer was observed in men and women on pro-inflammatory diets. This current meta-analysis indicates a trend towards a harmful association between adherence to a pro-inflammatory diet and increase in the incidence of prostate and breast cancer in men and women.
