Dietary inflammatory index and academic performance in children
Habitual intake of pro-inflammatory foods may lead to a reduction in the academic performance of school children.
This study comprehensively assessed the impact of pro-inflammatory diets on academic performance in children. Researchers monitored the dietary habits and school records of 524 Portuguese children.
Researchers noticed a decline in the academic performance of children on diet rich in pro-inflammatory foods. This study came to the conclusion that diets with high inflammatory potential may adversely affect the academic performance of school children.
