Dietary fiber intake and mortality from cardiovascular disease and all cancers: a meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies.
Regular intake of dietary fiber may significantly cut down cancer and cardiovascular mortality risk.
The purpose of this research work was to determine the correlation between dietary fiber intake and cardiovascular and cancer mortality risk by meta-analysis. Fifteen studies were included in this meta-analysis. Researchers observed that consistent consumption of diets with high fiber content reduced the chances of dying from cancer and cardiovascular ailments, such as coronary heart disease (CHD). The findings of this review indicate that individuals on diets rich in fiber are less likely to die from cancer- and cardiovascular-related causes.
