Meta-analysis of the association between dietary lycopene intake and ovarian cancer risk in postmenopausal women.

Generous intake of foods rich in lycopene may help cut down ovarian cancer risk in postmenopausal women.

This study examined the association between regular intake of foods high in lycopene and the likelihood of developing ovarian cancer in post-menopausal women by meta-analysis. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data extracted from 10 studies. The team of researchers found out that consistent consumption of lycopene-rich foods decreased ovarian cancer risk in postmenopausal women. The findings of this study reveal that high dietary ingestion of foods packed with lycopene may help inhibit the development and growth of cancerous cells and tumors in the ovary of postmenopausal women.
