Dietary carrot consumption and the risk of prostate cancer.
Low prostate cancer risk is associated with high consumption of carrot.
This study evaluated the relationship between the consumption of carrot and the odds of developing prostate cancer. Researchers systematically reviewed data and evidence extracted from relevant published studies on the subject. They discovered that regular consumers of carrot had slim chances of developing prostate cancer compared to rare- and non-consumers of carrot. The findings of this study reveal that consistent consumption of carrot may play an important role in protecting men against prostate cancer.
