Increased inflammatory potential of diet is associated with increased odds of prostate cancer in Argentinian men
Sticking to an anti-inflammatory diet may help thwart the development of prostate cancer in men.
This study examined the risk of prostate cancer in men based on the inflammatory potential of their diets. 153 prostate cancer patients and 309 men from Argentina without the disease were recruited for this study.
Researchers discovered that men who consumed pro-inflammatory foods had a higher risk of developing prostate cancer than their counterparts on anti-inflammatory diets. This study demonstrated that replacing pro-inflammatory foods with anti-inflammatory diets may help improve a man's chances of warding off prostate cancer.
