Devout ingestion of legumes could add a few more years to the lifespan of an individual.

This study clarified the correlation between the frequency of legume consumption and the probability of suffering from deaths due to chronic diseases and other causes. Researchers performed a meta-analysis on data obtained from over 1 million men and women who participated in 11 studies.

Researchers discovered that the odds of evading premature deaths arising from chronic diseases, especially stroke, and other causes were tilted in favor of consistent consumers of legumes. The results of this study showed that eating legumes could extend the lifespan of men and men.
