Cognitive Function and Consumption of Fruit and Vegetable Polyphenols in a Young Population: Is There a Relationship?
Avid consumption of fruits and vegetables loaded with polyphenols may help boost cognitive function in young adults.
This study evaluated the impact of high dietary ingestion of fruits and vegetables rich in polyphenols on the cognitive function of young adults. Researchers looked at evidence gathered from relevant studies.
Researchers noticed that habitual consumption of polyphenols from fruits and vegetables improved cognitive function by increasing the blood flow, oxygen and nitric oxide levels of the brain. This study concluded that regular intake of polyphenol-containing fruits and vegetables may help to enhance cognitive function in young adults.
