The Dietary Inflammatory Index Is Associated with Colorectal Cancer Risk in the Multiethnic Cohort
Boarding the proinflammatory diet train may drive up colorectal cancer risk in men and women.
This study shed more light on the proinflammatory food-colorectal cancer connection hypothesis. More than 190,000 US men and women volunteered dietary and health information over a 20-year period.
Researchers detected an upward trend in colorectal cancer risk among proinflammatory food consumers. The data from this study showed that a high inflammatory diet may give rise to colorectal cancer in men and women.
