Association Between a Dietary Inflammatory Index and Prostate Cancer Risk in Ontario, Canada
Men on pro-inflammatory diets may experience a surge in prostate cancer risk.
This study investigated whether a man's love for pro-inflammatory foods could fuel the development of prostate cancer. Researchers matched food preferences with the incidence of prostate cancer in a cohort of 302 healthy Canadian men and 72 prostate cancer patients.
Researchers found a spike in the risk of prostate cancer among men at the top of the pro-inflammatory food consumption ladder. This study affirmed that regular ingestion of pro-inflammatory foods may edge a man on the path to developing prostate cancer.
