Dietary intake of polyphenols and total antioxidant capacity and risk of prostate cancer: A case-control study in Iranian men
Optimal intake of foods loaded with polyphenols and other antioxidants may help provide men with adequate defensive cover against prostate cancer.
This study estimated the risk of prostate cancer among 302 Iranian men based on their level of dietary exposure to antioxidants. A total of 97 out of the 302 study participants had prostate cancer.
Researchers found a low rate of prostate cancer among men who loved eating foods rich in polyphenols and others antioxidants. This study suggested that frequent ingestion of foods packed with antioxidants may help knock down prostate cancer risk in men.
