Exploration of Metabolic Biomarkers Linking Red Meat Consumption to Ischemic Heart Disease Mortality in the UK Biobank

The probability of suffering from deaths arising from ischemic heart disease may be high among individuals, especially men, who enjoy consuming processed and unprocessed red meat.

This study looked at the death toll from ischemic heart disease among red meat consumers. Researchers assessed data drawn from the UK Biobank Cohort.

Researchers observed a spike in the number of deaths from ischemic heart disease among habitual consumers of processed and unprocessed red meat, particularly among men. This study pointed out that lovers of red meat may have heightened risk of dying from ischemic heart disease.
