Association between Dietary Isoflavones in Soy and Legumes and Endometrial Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
High dietary intake of isoflavones from legumes and soy foods may help to fend off endometrial cancer.
This study assessed the association between increased dietary exposure to isoflavones from legumes and soy foods and the likelihood of being diagnosed with endometrial cancer using a meta-analytic approach. Researchers reviewed medical and nutritional data obtained from 13 epidemiological studies.
Researchers discovered habitual consumption of isoflavones from legumes and soy foods reduced the odds of being diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Data from this study indicate a diet packed with isoflavones from legumes and soy foods may help to prevent the development of endometrial cancer.
