Dietary Intake of Anthocyanidins and Renal Cancer Risk: A Prospective Study

Adhering to a diet packed with foods loaded with anthocyanidins may help curb the development of renal (kidney) cancer.

This study explored the connection between maintaining a high anthocyanidin diet and the likelihood of staying free from renal (kidney) cancer. Researchers examined the eating behaviors of 101,747 cancer-free men and women and 409 patients with renal cancer.

Researchers noticed that optimal consumption of anthocyanidin-rich foods boosted an individual's chances of avoiding kidney cancer. Evidence from this study support the consumption of anthocyanidin-containing foods as a potent dietary weapon to fend off renal cancer.
