Associations between food groups and liver cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies

Increase in the rate of consumption of legumes and whole grains may help thwart the development of liver cancer.

This meta-analysis utilized data from different published studies that focused on the association between dietary choices and liver cancer risk. A total of 27 studies was included in this meta-analysis. 

Data analysis revealed that high dietary ingestion of legumes and whole grains significantly reduced the likelihood of developing liver cancer. This study affirmed the notion that generous intake of legumes and whole grains may help fend off liver cancer.
