Researchers analyzed data obtained from 24 studies that examined 15,099 cases of prostate cancer. They observed that high intake of tomatoes decreased the likelihood of developing prostate cancer. The findings of this meta-analysis reveal that habitual consumption of tomatoes may inhibit the development and growth of cancerous cells and tumors in the prostate gland.
