Cigarette smoking and cervical cancer: Part I: a meta-analysis.
Women who are cigarette smokers may have a high tendency of developing cervical cancer.
This study evaluated the cigarette smoking-cervical cancer hypothesis using a meta-analytic approach. Researchers reviewed lifestyle and clinical data obtained from eligible studies on the subject.
Researchers observed that smoking increased the odds of having cervical cancer. The results of this study suggest that cigarette smoking may be a contributing factor to the development of cervical cancer.
